Carnaval is an event with deep roots and significance for Brazilian society. We first hosted a contest –– judged by seasoned travel professionals –– which granted lucky members of our online community the opportunity to travel to Brazil and experience Carnaval firsthand. Then, these community members had the opportunity to explore Rio and soak in the festival with the same incredible creative professionals.

Each creative documented their experiences on social media along with our photo and video teams. Our team documented the unique cultural details of Carnaval and the real life encounters of travelers experiencing this one-of-a-kind event for the first time. After the trip, Passion Passport built out an editorial series which detailed their experiences and highlighted how anyone can enjoy their experience at Carnaval. These pieces were populated with rich photography and cinematography elements which were also featured on social media and in newsletters.
